VietNova Automation LLC · Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 9, 2026

VietNova Automation LLC (“VietNova,” “we,” “us”) is a Florida company that makes SalonPOS, a point-of-sale application for nail salons. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We built our products around a simple idea: your business data belongs to you and stays on your computer. This policy reflects that. We collect far less than most software companies, and this page lists everything we do collect.

1. This website

Our website (automatemyboringjob.com) is a plain, static website. It does not use:

  • Advertising or marketing cookies
  • Analytics or tracking tools of any kind
  • Advertising networks or pixels
  • Third-party fonts, scripts, or content delivery networks

We do not track your browsing, build profiles of visitors, or allow any third party to collect information about your activity on our site.

Language preference. If you switch the site between English and Vietnamese, that choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers it. This preference stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Server logs. Our website does not keep access logs of individual visits. Our systems keep limited technical logs for security and troubleshooting — for example, our contact-form service logs its own activity, and our server keeps standard system logs. These logs may include IP addresses. They are automatically limited in size and age, are used only to keep our services running and secure, are not used for marketing, and are not shared with anyone.

2. The contact form

If you fill out the contact form to ask about SalonPOS or request a trial, we collect what you type: your name, salon name, email address, your message, and — only if you choose to provide them — your phone number and city. Our systems also record the IP address the form was submitted from, which helps us block spam and abuse.

How we use it. We use this information for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell it, share it with marketers, or add you to any mailing list.

How it reaches us. Your submission is stored on our server and delivered to us as a notification by email (through Google Workspace) and by message (through Telegram). Those providers handle the notification in transit under their own privacy policies; they do not receive rights to use your information for their own purposes beyond delivering it.

3. Trials, licenses, and activation

When a salon starts a trial or purchases SalonPOS, we collect and store the information needed to run the license system and manage the account:

  • Business contact information provided when the account is set up: the salon's name and, if provided, the salon's phone number, address, and account notes (which may include the owner's name and preferred contact times)
  • Your license key
  • An identifier derived from your computer's hardware (a “machine fingerprint”), used to tie your license to your computer
  • Activation records: activation dates, license status, the version of the app in use, and the IP address used to activate
  • The salesperson associated with the sale
  • For purchases and payment plans: the price, the payment schedule, and a record of payments made

The machine fingerprint is a technical identifier, not a copy of anything on your computer. We use this information to operate the license system, provide support, administer purchases and payment plans, prevent fraud, and process free license transfers when you move to a new computer. The app also periodically checks our server for available updates; this check involves your license status and does not transmit your business data.

4. The SalonPOS application: your data stays with you

SalonPOS stores your salon's business data — tickets, appointments, customers, payroll, staff records, and gift cards — locally on your own computer. This data is never transmitted to VietNova. We cannot see it, and we do not have copies of it. Backups created by the app are saved on your own computer and, if you choose, your own USB drive.

Square payments (optional). If you choose to connect a Square Terminal, payment and tip information flows directly between your SalonPOS installation and Square under Square's own privacy policy and your agreement with Square. VietNova does not receive or store your payment transaction data.

Owner Remote View (optional). SalonPOS includes an optional feature that lets a salon owner see a small summary of their own salon's day — the salon's name, whether the salon is open or closed, the time the summary was taken, today's service totals, the technicians' combined service total, the salon's share after technician splits, the salon's profit from technician services, tickets paid, the owner's own service total on days the owner works as a technician, card tips the owner keeps on the owner's own clients, total wages paid to salaried staff, customer discounts given, gift cards sold, gift cards redeemed, the salon's net profit for the day, technicians clocked in, customers waiting, appointment counts for today and tomorrow, daily totals for the last seven days, a seven-day net profit total, and the same weekday's service total from the week before, so the owner can compare today with last week — on their own phone. This feature is off by default. If you turn it on, your salon computer encrypts that summary before it leaves your computer, using a key that exists only on your salon computer and your phone. The encrypted summary passes through our server so your phone can pick it up, but we do not hold the key: we cannot read your numbers, and neither can anyone in between. The only thing our server can read is which business day a summary belongs to, so that it knows when to clear it. Our server keeps only the most recent encrypted summary — each update overwrites the last, and it is cleared at the end of your business day. Turning the feature off stops the updates immediately. No individual customer, ticket, or employee records are ever included — only the summary totals listed above.

5. The check-in service (data we handle for salons)

Some salons use an optional check-in kiosk that lets their customers check in by phone number. When a salon enables this feature, the check-in information — the customer's name, phone number, email address and birthday (the last two only if the customer chooses to provide them), visit activity, and any text-message consent the customer gives — passes through and is stored on VietNova's server in order to make the feature work.

For this information, the salon is the business you have a relationship with, and VietNova acts as a service provider to that salon. We store and process check-in data only to provide the check-in service. We do not use it for our own purposes, we do not send marketing to salon customers, and we never sell it.

If you are a salon customer and want your check-in information corrected or deleted, please contact the salon you visited. If you contact us instead, we will work with you and the salon to honor your request.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever. We share information only with the service providers we use to run the business, and only as needed to do so:

ProviderWhat they do for us
DigitalOceanHosts our server (website, license system, check-in service, contact form, owner remote view)
Google WorkspaceCompany email
TelegramDelivers contact-form notifications to us
NamecheapDomain name services

We may also disclose information if required by law — for example, in response to a valid subpoena — or as needed to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

7. How long we keep information

  • Contact-form submissions: kept as business records while relevant to a sale or inquiry, and deleted on request (see Section 9).
  • License, account, and activation records: kept for the life of the license, because they are what proves your ownership and enables free license transfers.
  • Purchase and payment records: kept for the life of the license and afterward as long as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, as is standard for business financial records.
  • Check-in data: kept while the salon uses the check-in service, under the salon's direction.
  • Owner Remote View summaries: only the most recent encrypted summary is stored — each update overwrites the last, and it is cleared at the end of the salon's business day. We cannot read these summaries.
  • Server and service logs: automatically limited in size and age by our systems (system logs are capped and rotated automatically; service logs are rotated on a schedule and older logs are discarded).

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption on all our websites and services, restrict access to our systems, and store secrets and credentials in protected form. Personal information on our server is limited to what is described in this policy. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect the information we hold — and the best protection of all is our design choice to keep your business data on your own computer rather than on our servers.

9. Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what information we have about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it (for example, we can delete a contact-form submission at any time, but license records must be kept while your license is active because they prove your ownership)

To make any of these requests, email support@automatemyboringjob.com. We will respond to every request. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Residents of certain states (including California) have specific legal rights to know, correct, and delete personal information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We honor those rights for all our visitors and customers, regardless of state. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of — but if you send us an opt-out request anyway, we will confirm that in writing.

“Do Not Track” and browser privacy signals. Because our website does not track visitors in the first place, there is no tracking to disable. Our site behaves the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

10. Children

Our website and products are intended for business owners and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle information we have already collected, we will say so prominently on this page.
